General PDR

What is Paintless Dent Repair?

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is a method of removing dents by reshaping the metal from behind the panel with precision tools and reflection lighting. No filler, primer or paint is used, so the panel keeps its original factory finish.

Is Dry Denting the same as PDR?

Yes. "Dry denting" is the local name for paintless dent repair — "dry" because nothing wet (filler, primer, paint) is applied to the panel. The tools and technique are the same.

Can every dent be repaired using PDR?

No. PDR needs intact paint, metal that has not been stretched or torn, and a way to reach the back of the dent (or room for glue pulling). Suitability depends on dent depth, location, paint condition and panel access — which is why we assess photos first and tell you honestly.

Can I send photos before visiting?

Yes, and we recommend it. Use the "Send Your Dent Photos" form or WhatsApp. We reply with whether the dent is suitable and an approximate estimate, so you only visit when it makes sense.

Does PDR work on aluminium panels?

Often, yes — with specialised tools and more time, because aluminium is stiffer and has less "memory" than steel. Sharp creases on aluminium are usually not suitable. Tell us your make and model and we will confirm.

Door Dents

Will my car door need repainting after a door ding?

No. A door ding with intact paint is removed from inside the door through the window opening. The paint is never sanded or touched, so there is nothing to repaint.

Can dents on the edge of a door be repaired?

Dents close to the edge are more difficult because the metal is folded and stiff there, but many are repairable with more time. Dents exactly on the hem are usually not.

Crease Dents

Can crease dents be repaired?

Shallow to moderate creases with intact paint repair very well with PDR. Very sharp, deep creases may only be improved rather than fully removed — we tell you which before starting.

Can bodyline dents be repaired?

Yes. The low area is lifted and the pressed line is then re-formed with a sharp tip tool so its reflection runs straight again. It takes longer than a dent on a flat area.

Hail Damage

Can hail damage be repaired with PDR?

Yes — PDR is the standard method for hail worldwide because hail rarely breaks paint. Every dent on each panel is removed from behind and the car keeps all of its original paint.

How long does hail repair take?

Light hail can be finished in a day; moderate to heavy hail usually takes two to five days depending on the number of dents and the panels involved.

Pricing

How is the price calculated?

By dent size, depth, type (round, crease, bodyline), the panel it sits on and how easy the access is. Multiple dents on one panel cost less per dent. We give an approximate estimate from photos and confirm it at the workshop after inspecting under PDR lighting.

Is PDR cheaper than a body shop?

For suitable dents, usually much cheaper — there is no filler, primer, paint, blending or drying time, and the repair is typically done in hours rather than days.

Repair Time

How long does PDR take?

A single door ding: 20–45 minutes. Minor dents: 30 minutes to 2 hours. Creases and bodyline dents: 1–4 hours. Large dents and hail damage: from half a day to several days.

Can I wait while the repair is done?

For single small dents, yes. For larger jobs we will give you a time to collect the vehicle.

Paint

Does PDR affect factory paint?

No. Factory paint is flexible enough to move with the metal during the repair. Nothing is sanded, filled or sprayed, and paint-thickness gauges read the same after the repair as before.

Will the repair be visible?

A properly repaired suitable dent is not visible to the eye. On very deep dents slight texture may remain under a reflection light; we tell you if that is likely before we start.

Can you fix a dent that has a paint chip or scratch?

The dent itself can often be reshaped, but chipped or scratched paint will still need a touch-up or refinishing. We explain this in the assessment so you can decide.

Insurance

Do you work with insurance claims?

We can provide a written estimate and before/after photos for your insurer. Please tell us at the assessment stage if the repair is part of a claim.

Booking

Do I need an appointment?

An appointment is recommended so a technician is available for your vehicle. Use the Book Inspection form or WhatsApp; we confirm the time with you by phone or WhatsApp.

What happens after I book an inspection?

Your request is received and our team contacts you to confirm the date and time. The booking is only confirmed once we have spoken to you.
